How to get rid of dark knees and elbows?

Dark knees and elbows are caused due hyper- pigmentation, due to excessive exposure to sun rays or due to dead skin cells and friction in the elbow and knee region.

Here are few ways how you can get rid of the dullness and darkness in your elbow and knee region.

1. Lemon + baking soda :-
Mix some lemom juice in equal quantity of baking soda to make a paste then gently apply it over your knees and elbows, after 10 minutes you can wash it off.



2. Gram flour (besan) + curd :-
Mix some gram flour and curd together to make a fine paste then gently scrub this paste over your knees and elbows let it dry and then gently with circular motion wash it off.

3. Turmeric + yoghurt :-
Turmeric contains a component named curcumin which is great for treating pigmentation as it regulates the production of melanin (a pigment) and thus brightens the skin.



4. Potatoe juice + cucumber juice :-
Potatoe juice is a natural bleaching agent that helps in brightening the elbow and knee region on the other hand cucumber helps in moisturizing the region and thus makes it soft and bright.




5.Rice flour + milk :-
Mix some rice flour and milk to make a paste. Rice flour is a natural exfoliator that helps in removing the dead skins where as milk contains lactic acid which helps in brightening the skin.
